How To Pay in Bitcoin With Paypal Print

  • 0

Before You Start:

You must have Bitcoin already in your PayPal Crypto account.

Your PayPal account must be identity-verified (photo ID submitted and approved).

You must have the receiving wallet address ready.

Double-check that it is a Bitcoin (BTC) address — not an Ethereum or other type of wallet.

Step-by-Step Guide:

1. Open PayPal App or Website

Open the PayPal app or go to paypal.com and log in.

2. Go to Your Crypto Section

Tap "Finances" on the home screen.

Then tap "Crypto".

3. Select Bitcoin (BTC)

Find your list of crypto holdings.

Tap Bitcoin.

4. Tap "Transfer"

You'll see two options: "Send" or "Receive".

Tap "Send".

5. Select "Send to Bitcoin Address"

You’ll see two options:

Send to PayPal contact (only to other PayPal users)

Send to an external Bitcoin address

Choose Send to Bitcoin address.

6. Enter Wallet Address

Paste or scan the QR code of the external wallet address you want to send to.

Triple-check the address!

Bitcoin transactions cannot be reversed if you send it to the wrong address.

7. Enter the Amount

Enter the amount of Bitcoin (BTC) you want to send.

PayPal may show you the network fee and the final amount the recipient will receive.

8. Review the Transfer Details

Double-check:

The destination address

The amount

The network fee

PayPal will give you a summary screen.

9. Confirm and Authorize the Transfer

Tap Send Now.

You may be asked to complete 2FA (two-factor authentication) — entering a code sent to your phone or email.

10. Wait for Blockchain Confirmation

The Bitcoin network needs to confirm the transaction.

Depending on network congestion, it could take 5 minutes to an hour.

You’ll see the transaction as Pending until it's fully confirmed.

Important Notes:

Network Fee: PayPal will charge a blockchain network fee (this is not PayPal's fee, it's the Bitcoin network).

Minimum Withdrawal: PayPal usually requires a minimum amount (like ~$1–$5 in BTC) to send externally.

Security Tip: Always copy/paste wallet addresses — never type them manually.
